According to our records, there are four Scouts that still have not settled up for their 2026 HOVC Camp Cards, If you are one of those four, please be prepared to turn the Camp Cards or the money for them this Tuesday night.

This month's camping trip will be to Buckingham County to a private farm (MR. VonCannon) where we can metal detect and search for arrowheads. Many Civil War era items have been found in the field were we will be camping. On the ground to the James River, projectile points have been found.

If you have access to a metal detector or dirt sifters, please let the Troop borrow them for the weekend.

This will be a one night camp.

We have been working to keep the Troop calendar up to date (and we hope to get better!).

You can now sync your personal calendar to the Troop calendar. We have had several adults test driving this new feature of the Troop calendar. We are back to our normal schedule this Tuesday.

We are working on all of the badges earned at summer camp. Hope to have them all entered into ScoutBook and ready for distribution next Tuesday, July 14.

Summer Camp note: It looks like we picked a good week for summer camp, hot but dry. How would you like to be at camp with the weather we had Sunday afternoon!
